What is the Global Parents Appeal?
UNICEF’s Global Parents Appeal supports the world’s most vulnerable children and families - those caught in conflict, natural disasters, or extreme poverty. It funds the basics that every child deserves: lifesaving nutrition, clean water, healthcare, and education.
Why we chose UNICEF
When I started thinking about how Chicha could give back, I wanted to support an organisation that could reach children in the places where help is needed most urgently.
UNICEF operates in over 190 countries. They don’t just respond to crises; they work to prevent them. Most importantly, their Global Parents Appeal puts families at the centre of everything - because a supported family raises a thriving child.
As a brand built on community - from the talented women in Peru who pour their heart into every stitch, to the rural families in NZ who inspire our story, UNICEF felt like a natural fit.
